It's funny that I don't feel compelled to write unless the world is on fire...lol
I woke up Wednesday the 6th. Saw Trump was elected and immediately deactivated my fb. It was a gut reaction. Not fear or emotional. It just seemed like if I am going to survive this next 4 years, I need to keep mentally healthy. Seeing what people I love write about people I love just is not healthy for me. We seem to be so gosh darn backwards.
and then came the great snow storm.... NM had the storm of the century that started Wednesday and while our interstate was closed last night (Friday) and it was still snowing, they let us through to get to our home. The internet went off Wednesday at Midnight. That made us left with nothing but us and snow. We cooked and laughed and K2 and Josh shoveled snow the entire day. We drove out in the blizzard to get snacks because we are fools on Thursday morning. That was an adventure! We watched movies we had on dvd. I put on Northern Exposure and that was fun. We talked about the election. I'm still in denial and think things are going to flip all over the place in the next 2 weeks (I follow astrology) Josh joyfully exclaimed that at least Kamala was elected in NM... that was a calming thought. K2 was quiet but we got a few eye brow raises (He's beyond progressive). New Mexico is pretty liberal with all these hippies and Native Americans living here.
When we went out into the world we were full of joy and love for one another. We're not sure what to think about people who vote to hurt people. Santa Fe seemed pretty normal. We were still without internet last night and today on Saturday it's working...
I'm fine, we have tons of orders, I have to keep my vibe up, I've been through too much in the past 5 years, this past year was the challenge of the century but we are so glad we are living in commune with a pinon forest and pine trees. Peace and Quiet. Scaled back to a cottage industry with confidence we make a great product and we can do this. Thank you so much for loving our products!
Know what makes you happy and stay in that lane. We need to rest, heal, think, find our people who support our heart way through life. People who noticed I was not on fb CALLED ME! I couldn't get the phone to work always, but that was great to connect through voice rather than word.

I stand with you. We are all marginalized, it's just 52% of you just don't realize it yet. If you think Women aren't the bottom of the barrel in society, you know we are now. huh. Take no shit, do no harm and Carry On <3 I stand with the immigrants, the Black women and men, Native America, LGBTQA, Palestine and Love. If you stand with us, let us know, loud and proud. We, who I just mentioned, have lost what little trust we had in those who are not like us. We all feel like we know the truth now, give us time to digest it.
And love is our greatest ingredient in everything we do.
I want to buy this house somehow ~ I deserve to live in a house without a landlord. This is my 2025 goal. The only way to make that happen is to keep my head up, keep looking forward and to continue to believe that Creator has not forsaken us. We somehow got gaslit ~ that's nothing new for Women. We've already walked through 500 years of oppression, we can do this.
